Venue:
Farmers Market... musicians wanted!
Waynesville is very fortunate to have a
very successful outdoor
farmers market in the parking lot of the HART Theatre on Pigeon
Street on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8:00am till 1pm during
season.
(see www.waynesvillefarmersmarket.com)
Besides the excellent local farm produce, meats, baked goods,
and traditional crafts, the market also offers live
entertainment at the music pavilion. This provides an excellent
opportunity for musicians and other performing artists to be
seen and heard by the hundreds of shoppers and visitors that
pass thru the market on a typical Saturday morning.
In fact,
musicians are encouraged to put out a tip jar, offer their CD's
for sale, and announce their upcoming performances around town
to get the maximum benefit from their performance. The benefits
include:
- Public
exposure: you will be seen & heard by 400 to over
1000 people
- Media
exposure: we notify the local entertainment media of
your performance, and they will list it in their event
calendar
- Advertising
exposure: if you submit a PR kit we will advertise your
band on an 11x17 full color poster, complete with a link
to your website
- Booking
exposure: if the market gives your band a thumbs up, we
will add you to our performers directory and help you to get
commercial bookings
- Guest
musicians: if you ever need a quality musician to sit in
at one of your future gigs, just give us a call and we will
try to help you to connect with a qualified musician. Also,
if you would like to sit in with other bands from
time-to-time, we will gladly recommend
you for consideration.

So, if you are a
musician or performing artist and you would like to perform at
the Haywood Historic Farmers Market, then please call us at
Sunrise Entertainment to arrange your booking. Call Alan at
828-226-0136.

shoppers to arrive. |

And here come the
first shoppers
to buy fresh by buying local. |
