Bobby G - Blues, voted #1 guitar player in FL for
past 10 years. Bobby G now lives here in Waynesville, NC and he is performing
at many of our local nightspots: Rendezvous Lounge, Saratoga's, Beck &
Jaime's Waterin' Hole, Cat Daddy's, O'Malley's, Towne Square, Moose Lodge,
Hannah Flanagan's, etc. This guy really knows his way around a blues guitar,
although his sense of humor can be a bit edgy for some venues. See: http://bobbyguitar.com.

Country
Soul - Motown, soul and country
This soulful singing duo builds a musical bridge
back to the good old days of AM/FM radio when
Motown, soul and country were warming our hearts
and keeping us real. "If
you yearn for rich two part harmonies, lyrics that
pay tribute to romance & true love, and music
that kept you slow dancing right up till curfew,
then you must check out Country Soul."

Ed Pettersen - singer/songwriter with a
varied repertoire ranging from uptempo
country rock, acoustic folk tunes, and a variety of blues rock, topped off
with some solid pop tunes. In the
tradition of the great piano-playing singer-songwriters, such as Jackson
Browne and Warren Zevon, Ericson Holt
delivers a listening experience steeped in rootsy, bluesy, soul-dipped songs
that showcase Holt’s poignant singing and tasty piano playing.
Veteran Ed Pettersen,
with over ten years of performing and five albums to his credit, contributes
his own brand of guitar driven acoustic folk, roots rock, and electric power
pop to this dynamic duo’s interaction onstage.

Laura Blackley -
a singer/songwriter who mixes country
heartbreak, Southern Comfort-soaked blues, and backwater gospel soul - citing
influences ranging from Johnny Cash to Patty Griffin to the storytelling women
in her family to Hank Williams to Bessie Smith.
"Full
of soulful swagger and a natural storyteller to boot, Blackley is the most
exciting thing to happen to Asheville since they blasted through sheer rock to
create the Beaucatcher Tunnel..."

One Leg Up - One
Leg Up plays gypsy jazz in the style of Django Reinhardt and Stephane
Grappelli. The Parisian style of jazz is an upbeat acoustic swing with a
repertoire of 1920's, 30's, and 40's jazz standards, originals, modern jazz
tunes, and of course, music from the book of the virtuoso guitarist Django
Reinhardt. This style of jazz is popular in clubs and festivals throughout
Europe, yet it is underrepresented in America. One Leg Up is one of the few
bands that plays this music in the southeast. Their show is lively, intimate,
danceable, and brings about the atmosphere of French cafe music before World
War II. A must see local band.

Parker Coleman - a superb guitarist with a
tasteful,
bluesy approach to the vintage music of the 20's, 30's, 40's and some of the
60's - all in the style of Leon Redbone.
Parker has moved to Charleston, so we don't
get to hear him around here these days.

|
|
Sam Milner - folk singer/songwriter in the style of James Taylor, who
plays an eclectic mix of R&B, jazz, country rock, acoustic rock,
bluegrass, and traditional folk music. Sam's original songs are wonderful
portraits of people he has met on the road. "Crocodile
Man", one of my personal favorites, should be a movie theme song.
